Day 1 - Arrive Buenos Aires

On arrival in the Argentinian capital, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy Welcome Drinks.

Day 2 - Buenos Aires

Enjoy a tour of Buenos Aires before visiting the city’s oldest barrio (district). Explore La Boca’s colourful houses and picturesque pedestrian street, the Caminito; drive along one of the widest avenues in the world, Avenida 9 de Julio; pass the parks, gardens and tree-lined streets of Palermo; and visit La Recoleta Cemetery.

Day 3 - Buenos Aires

This morning after breakfast, embark on your chosen activity.

Day 4 - Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Embark Antarctica Cruise

Fly to Ushuaia, South America’s most southern city, and transfer to your luxury expedition ship, Le Lyrial, to be greeted by your Expedition Leader and a team of expert naturalist guides. Take some time to settle in before enjoying the Captain’s Welcome Dinner. Afterwards, head to the deck to take in the stunning scenery of the Beagle Channel.

Day 5 - Drake Passage

Sail across the Drake Passage, where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet between Cape Horn and the South Shetland Islands. To cross the Drake Passage, making your way ever closer to the White Continent, is to achieve one of the great travel milestones. During this time, you’ll learn all about the adventures ahead as you participate in a range of informative, interactive and entertaining presentations on the wildlife, history and geology of Antarctica delivered by your expert Expedition Team.

Day 6 - Antarctic Peninsula

On arrival in Antarctica, your itinerary becomes flexible in order to maximise your discovery of this enchanting world of ice and water.

Day 7 - Antarctic Peninsula

Utilising the knowledge of your Expedition Team, your Captain will charter a course based on the most exciting sightseeing opportunities available and the most favourable ice and weather conditions.

Day 8 - Antarctic Peninsula

For the next seven days, you’ll enjoy morning and afternoon Zodiac rides. Experience some of the most unique wildlife viewing in the world as you’re taken to visit penguin rookeries and seal colonies.

Day 9 - Antarctic Peninsula

These chilly waters are often frequented by hunting orcas and the breaching forms of humpback and minke whales, so be sure to keep an eye out.

Day 10 - Antarctic Peninsula

Although landing sites will vary depending on conditions, the route will feature the most scenic bays and channels, including the stunning Lemeire Channel and Neko Bay.

Day 11 - Antarctic Peninsula

Head to the shores of Deception Island, an active volcano surrounded by distinctive black sand. Once an old whaling station, you will see giant barrels and bleached whale bones here as well as impressive elephant seals lounging along the shore.

Day 12 - Antarctic Peninsula

You may even get the chance to stop at Port Lockroy, a scientific base currently studying gentoo penguins. Here, you can send a postcard with a rare Antarctic stamp.

Day 13 - Drake Passage

The adventure, and the wildlife spotting, continues as you bid farewell to the beautiful waters surrounding the Antarctic Peninsula and return across the Drake Passage back towards the bustling Argentinian city of Ushuaia. Along the way, be sure to keep a keen eye out for the wildlife, including the many whales, dolphins, giant petrels and albatross that frequent these waters.

Day 14 - Disembark Ship, Ushuaia, Buenos Aires

Today you’ll disembark your ship in Ushuaia, later travel to the airport for your included flight to Buenos Aires. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 15 - Depart Buenos Aires

Your journey ends upon arrival at Buenos Aires airport.
